Kyson Deloy Spanier
Well hes finally here. He decided he needed to come 12 days early though. I started my day normal and had an ultrasound at 330 to check my fluid levels since they were fluctuating so bad. My doctor told me that if they go below 6 they would induce me since that was the lowest i could go and be still some what safe with him in there. So i went to my ultrasound and my fluid level was at a 5.5 so they kept me at the hospital and my doctor decided they would wait till morning to induce since his stress test and everything was still fine and she didnt want a 3 am baby. So around 10pm the nurses gave me two sleeping pills so i could sleep before they started anything and they said they would start me on pitocin at 10pm also just to give my body a whiff of it so that at 5 am they would start me full blown on pitocin. Well i told them that im a wimp and that i cant handle pain without meds and that i wanted an epidural before they even started anything but the anesthesiology was in surgery and so we decided to wait on the pitocin till he got out, that was at about 1015. At 1030 i started contracting on my own without anything and man did they hurt! At 1045 my water broke and my contractions were getting to be about 3-4 minutes apart. At this point i was in so much pain i was balling. I had to be in labor on my own with no meds will 1245am until the anesthesiology came in but we knew that an epidural wouldn't work in time since i went from a 3 to a 6 already and when i hit 6 i almost always deliver in an hour. So at 1246 my doctor was called and told to come in and that i would be most likely delivering within the hour, to which she just laughed. At 1250 i was giving an intrathecal and i felt no more contractions after that THANK GOODNESS! Brad was so good though he held my hand and rubbed my leg during each contraction and helped me slow my breathing cause man i was almost passed out! (meanwhile i have 2 sleeping pills taking affect inside my body right now) At 102am my doctor arrived in the hospital after Kyson was already waiting for to come out, at 104am he was born. At my hospital they usually take off the end of the bed to deliver the baby but since i was supposed to sleep there that night before i had him they put a big padding on the whole bed so i would be more comfy which by the way didn't really help, But the joke was that they said they would make me so comfy they would put me into labor....Guess it worked. Anyway so they weren't able to get the end of the bed off so he just flopped out on the bed (three days later brad informed me he was born with the cord wrapped about his neck.) He weighed 7.1 lbs and was 20.0 inches long. He didn't eat much in the hospital due to a fast delivery and so all the gunk didn't get out of his tummy so he lost weight and was 6.13lbs when we left the hospital. He was born Tuesday morning the 17th and we left the hospital Wednesday morning the 18th. I felt great and still do. He still isn't eating much though and has diarrhea and is spitting up a lot so we are trying to figure out whats going on. He is such a good baby though and is a huge cuddlier i love him so much and man does it feel great knowing that he is our last and that i can finally be done! Man i cant wait till he is out or diapers and formula! I still dont have his pictures on the computer yet but i will post them as soon as i do.

Wowsers I hope that you can figure it out soon with the little guy not feeling so good :( It's always fun to hear people's birth stories, you pretty much went au natural! You are a tough chic. I'm so glad the delivery went well.
